The Islanders struggled against the Stars 6-2 in home game

The Cape Cod Islanders' defense had a poor night, allowing the New England Stars 34 shots throughout the game. The New England Stars took the lead late in the first on a goal from Ian Gatley and never looked back.

Cole Archambeault did his part, adding 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Tyson Gudaitis delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first, Archambeault opened the scoring for the Stars with a goal at 2:11 with helpers from his linemates, Lempiainen and Gatley. Gudaitis deposited a goal at 7:35 with helpers from his teammates Wilson and Valinder. St. Amand finally put Cape Cod on the board with a goal at 11:40 with assists from Conway and Marston. Gatley answered for New England with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 18:27 with assists from his linemates, Archambeault and Lempiainen.

In the third, Kervinen answered for the Islanders with a goal at 4:20 with a helper from Sinisalo. Archambeault answered for the Stars with a goal at 6:52 with helpers from Gatley and Glover. Norris quickly followed with a goal at 8:23 with an assist from his linemate Gudaitis. Herling put in a goal at 18:43 with assists from Burnham and Lovejoy.

This loss brings the Cape Cod Islanders’ record to (8-25-1-0).
