The Islanders recorded a shutout against the Sharks 4-0 in home game

The Cape Cod Islanders struggled against the Long Beach Sharks allowing Mike Walsh to score a hat trick as Cape Cod crushed the Sharks 4-0 in a home game at Falmouth Ice Arena in Cape Cod. Also, Ryan Cortez posted a shutout, stopping all 24 of the Islanders shots throughout the game. The Long Beach Sharks took the lead early in the first on a goal from Mike Walsh and never looked back.

Luc Meier delivered for his team with 3 assists.

During the first, Walsh opened the scoring for the Sharks with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 3:38 with helpers from his linemates, Meier and Carlock. Walsh netted a goal at 16:32 with assists from his teammates Stober and Carlock.

In the third period, Walsh put in a goal at 4:20 with helpers from his linemates, Carlock and Meier. Carlock scored a goal at 19:57 with assists from his linemates, Wellmeyer and Meier.

This loss brings the Cape Cod Islanders’ record to (2-4-0-0).
