The Islanders fall to the Generals 4-2

The Cape Cod Islanders' defense had a poor night, allowing the Northeast Generals 29 shots throughout the game. The Northeast Generals took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Brian Shea.

Leevi Kervinen did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Austin Braley chipped in with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Marc Faia contributed with 3 assists.

In the first period, Braley opened the scoring for Northeast with a goal at 6:02 with a helper from his teammate Faia. Braley quickly followed with a goal at 6:34 with helpers from O’dowd and Norrefjord.

In the second, Shea deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 13:10 with assists from his linemates, Braley and Faia. Hamel scored a goal at 18:47 with helpers from Faia and O’dowd.

In the third, Hinckley finally put the Islanders on the board with a goal at 8:33 with an assist from Kervinen. Kervinen quickly followed with a goal at 10:24 with a helper from St. Amand.

This loss brings the Cape Cod Islanders’ record to (4-11-1-0).
