The Islanders now face off against the Eastern Division champion New Hampshire Fighting Spirit in the second round, who won a tough series against the Maine Wild two games to one. The winner of this series will advance to the NA3EHL Championship and face off against the winner of the Jersey Shore Wildcats and Wilkes Barre Miners Western Division Championship series.

"The Spirit has been the best team in the league for the past four seasons.  They are very well coached by Rod Simmons and his staff.  We know this will be a tough series and we will have to minimize our mistakes, this is a team that will capitalize on the smallest miscue.  We will have to play our best game of the season Wednesday night and be focused until the final buzzer sounds." coach Hodge said
