The Cape Cod Islanders are proud to announce the signing of Maxime Dordet for the 2015-16 season. Dordet, from Rouen, France will occupy one of the two import player spots that is currently allowed under the USA Hockey rules. The five foot eleven inch, 170 pound left winger will add grit and determination to the Islanders line up.
"I scouted Maxime at the Pre Draft Showcase last month and I was immediately drawn to how hard he competes on every shift." Islander presdent Dan Hodge said "He's a unique player who will be the guy that scores the goal or makes the big hit or play to change the tide of a game. With our imports being cut to two, we need to be very selective on who we give those spots to. Maxime is a guy we wanted to have in our organization. We are pleased he agreed to play for us."
Dordet has played for the Rouen Dragons and has been part of two championship teams in the past two seasons. He was an intricate part in helping Rouen moving up in divisions for the 2015-16 season. "I am very excited to play for the Islanders next season. I am looking forward to a great season and a life changing experience." Dordet said "I will do my best to help the team win games and make myself the best hockey player I can be. I am thankful for the opportunity the Islanders are giving to me."
