Islanders Land top Forward Chuck Costello

The Cape Cod Islanders head coach, Jay Punsky continues to build his team for the 2015-16 season and he has signed a major piece today in center Chuck Costello.  Costello was the team captain a Father Judge, a prep school in Pennsylvania and was a standout for the Grundy Senators at the USA Hockey national tournament this past spring.  He won't have too look to far to find some familiar faces this season, both Joe Brennan (Father Judge) and Chris O'Donnell (Grundy Senators) have been his teammates in the past.

"Chuck Costello is a tremeandous two way center who knows how to create time and space for himself on the ice." Punsky said "He has an uncanny ability to create separation from the defender that will translate into odd man rushes for his line."

Costello is another player who will add leadership to the locker room this season.  "We have a few former captains on the roster this season and I like having guys who know what it takes to lead.  Everyone wants to wear the C, but only one guy can.  It's nice to have guys who know how hard it is to earn that letter and what an honor it truly is to be a captain."

Costello comes into a situation where his ability and hockey knowledge will be valued and counted on.  The Islanders are in a transition period, with a complete overhaul of the roster this season.  Coach Punsky will rely on Costello and his teammates to become a top team in the NA3EHL this season.
