Islanders Ink Defenseman Matt Hinckley to Tender Agreement

The Cape Cod Islanders are pleased to announce the signing of defenseman Matt Hinckley to an NA3HL tender agreement.  Hinckley, the 5'10" 165 pound defenseman has great vision and skating, but what the fans will appreciate is how hard of a shot he has and his accuracy.  He will definitlely add a new wrinkle to the Islanders special teams.

"We are very excited about having Matt in the fold." Islanders president Dan Hodge said "He was recommended to me by Mike Pasic, who  coaches the Barnstable 18U team.  The coaching he has received, prior to this season, is second to none on the Cape.  I hold coach Pasic's opinion in high regard and I also made multiple phone calls about Matt and the reports were all the same. When you hear that many good things about one player you sign that guy."

Coach Punsky had this to say "I am looking forward to seeing Matt on our backend next season.  His skating, puck moving ability and shot will be a plus for us.  He is a local player, with great attitude, who will fit in nicely with our team first mentality."
