Islanders Hit Road for Three

The Cape Cod Islanders (30-5-2 62 pts) hit the road for a tough three game test this weekend.  The first stop will be in Canton, Ma on Friday night against the Northeast Generals (8-28-3 19 pts) at 9:10 pm.  After the game they will head out to New Jersey for two games where the team faces off against potential first round playoff opponent Skylands Kings (16-17-0 32 pts).  It will be a long weekend of travel and play as the Islanders look to put a strangle hold on the Eastern Division regular season title.  "This will be our toughest test of the season" coach Jay Punsky said "we have had some tough, physical games with Northeast and I expect Friday to be the same.  Then we head down to face Skylands for two, who we could be facing in the first round of the playoffs.  They gave us all we could handle in our building in November. I expect all three games to be battles and we have to be prepared both mentally and physically."
