The Cape Cod Islanders are pleased to announce the signing of East Falmouth native, Mike Jessman. Jessman, a standout at Arch Bishop Williams, accumulated a staggering 104 points over his career. The five foot seven inch forward is an offensive threat and will give the Islanders a dimension they did not have in year's past.
"I am very excited for this opportunity to play for the Islanders and coach Punsky" Jessman said. "I am looking forward to being a leader on this team and working hard to achieve our team goals of winning a championship."
The Islanders are looking forward to having Mike Jessman don the black and gold this season and helping him realze his goal of playing in college. Jessman's favorite team is the New York Rangers and his favorite player is Jaromir Jagr. The Islanders held an informal skate for some recruits this past weekend and Jessman showed off the skills that will make him a top player in the NA3EHL.
Coach Punsky on Jessman "Mike is a threat to score every time he touches the ice, he will make other team's have to know where he is on the ice. He has exceptional vision and he knows the game of hockey. He is a multi dimensional player who can set up teammates but he also knows how to put pucks in the net. He has a proven track record of scoring big goals in clutch situations. We are certainly excited to add a local talent to our group."
