First Place Islanders Defeat Spirit, Win 9th in a Row

The Cape Cod Islanders (20-4-2) swept through the weekend with convincing wins against the East Coast Minutemen and the Lewiston Fighting Spirit.  After Saturday's road victory in Lewiston the Islanders extended their first place lead in the Eastern Division of the NA3EHL to five points over the Spirit.  "We are playing good team hockey right now" said coach Jay Punsky "we need to keep improving and not be content.  I will continue to push our guys to be better, because we all know we haven't accomplished anything yet."  The Islanders will close out the first half of their season next Saturday when they face off against the Northeast Generals the game is at 12:30 pm at the Falmouth Ice Arena.
