The Islanders are pleased to announce that forward Chris Lovell has agreed to return to the team for the 2016-17 season. Lovell the 5-7 185 pounder from Plymouth, Ma appeared in 29 games last season, scoring one goal and three assists. He joined the team after the start of the season and was a key component to the Islanders push to the Eastern Division crown.
"We are happy that Chris will be back next season, he has a great attitude and competes hard all over the ice." coach Jay Punsky said "Unfortunately he joined us after the start of the season and we weren't able to work him in as much as we would have liked. But he showed up to work every day and he is a guy we are looking to taking on a bigger role this winter." Punsky continued "Chris has put in a lot of work this summer and from what I've seen, he's ready for a breakout season."
The Islanders are still looking for billet families for this upcoming season. If you or someone you know would be interested in housing a player please have them contact Dan Hodge at firstname.lastname@example.org
