Host Families Sought

Each season the Cape Cod Islanders of the NA3HL recruit talented junior hockey players who show great potential to play at the college level and beyond. Most of these players are from areas other than Cape Cod.  If you are interested in being a host family for a hockey player this season, please contact the Cape Cod Islanders at ccislandershockey@gmail.com.  Your willingness to share your home and family is all it takes to make a difference in a hockey player’s life.

What is the role of the Host Family:

Families who are willing to share their home and provide a “Home away from Home” for a hockey player ages 16-20 years old for the Cape Cod Islanders 2018-2019 NA3HL Hockey Season.

Families who can provide a private room for the hockey player or a room that can be shared with another team member with a bed/beds, bureau, and closet space.

Families who are willing to help a hockey player who is pursuing his hockey opportunities and dreams.

Families who may share “Family Meals” with the player.

Families who hope to form lifetime relationship with a hockey player and his family.

Families will receive a monthly allowance  for each player that they welcome into their home.

What is expected of the Hockey Player:

The hockey player will be expected to either attend  school or hold a part time job along with fulfilling community service.

The hockey player will be expected to adhere to all house and team rules as well as show respect and consideration for all of the host’s family members.

The hockey player will be a positive role model to the community as he demonstrates hard work and determination to achieve his dreams.

The hockey player will be self-sufficient and clean up after himself.

The hockey player will provide his own bed linens, bath linens, personal care items, media equipment, and own transportation.
