The Cape Cod Islanders are thrilled to announce the signing of forward Aaron Deady (Deedy) for the 2015-16 season. Deady stands six feet tall and weighs 180 pounds and is a player who will compete all over the ice and prides himself on playing a hard nosed style of hockey. "I am excited to be joining the Islanders family. I am looking forward to being a productive member of the team who plays in all three zones and likes to be the first guy on the forecheck." Deady said
Deady split time between the Rhode Island Hitmen and the Topeka Capitals last season. While on the Cape he had the chance to skate with some of his future teammates and he impressed Dan Hodge, the Islanders president. "I really liked how Aaron competed, he's a very mature player who will be a guy we can count on all season."
Coach Jay Punsky on the Deady signing "Aaron is a hard nosed, gritty player who isn't afraid to drive the net and score a dirty goal. His quiet confidence and unwavering work ethic will be contagious to our locker room. I am very pleased to have him on the team."
